Every time we go to Copenhagen we have this tradition that the day after arriving we jump on the bus towards the center and head straight for the organic hot dog stand (DØP) outside the Round Tower.
We order two vegetarian hot dogs (I always go for a classic roasted hot dog – my daughter prefers a French hot dog with ketchup) and we eat them sitting on one of the benches in the little square while looking at people and occasionally feeding crumbs to the doves.
Everything is organic, and besides selling vegetarian and vegan hotdogs, DØP also offers lactose free and gluten free meals. A classic hot dog is just DKK 37, so this is also a super cheap meal (at least for Danish standards). It’s definitely one of the most kids friendly places in Copenhagen for a quick bite.
You also find DØP on Copenhagen’s main shopping street, Strøget, right outside the Church of the Holy Ghost.
