Privacy Notice

The content in this Privacy Notice applies to photography services provided by Birgitte Brøndsted and to the use of the website https://birgittebrondsted.com.

Your privacy is important to me. I respect your privacy regarding all personal information which I collect, use and handle. I collect information in a fair, legitimate and transparent way, and I only ask for personal information when I need it to provide a service to you.

You can always refuse my request for your personal information, but this means that I may not be able to provide you with my services.

Below you can find more details about how I collect, use and handle information that you choose to share with me. You can also read more about your rights.

1. What I collect

I collect information like your name, email address, phone number, physical address, Italian tax number (codice fiscale) and/or VAT number. I also collect email communication and messages sent through other channels (for example private messages sent through my Facebook profile and direct messages sent through my Instagram profile).

When you visit my website https://birgittebrondsted.com I collect information from and about the devices you use to access the website. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, which pages you visit etc. Your devices may also transmit location information.

If you have given me consent to send you my newsletter, I also collect information about how you interact with the emails I send out. This includes information which lets me know if you read my emails, which links you click on etc.

2. How I collect

I collect information which you choose to share with me through email communication and other communication, or through my website, for example when you sign up for my newsletter.

I also collect information through third parties such as Mailchimp (information on how you interact with my newsletter) and Google Analytics (information on how you interact with my website).

3. Why I collect and how I use what I collect

I collect and use the above mentioned information for the purpose of providing you with my services, in order to communicate with you, to improve my services and my website, to comply with my administrative obligations (accounting, tax etc.) in accordance with Italian law, to protect myself in the event of disputes, and to enforce my agreements.

If you have given me your consent I also collect and use your information to send you newsletters and communications about services and special offers, and to improve these communications.

4. Who I share your information with

I may share your information with trusted third parties with whom I collaborate or whose services I use. These include my bank, my accountants and legal consultants, courier services and post offices. I will only share your information with these parties when it is strictly necessary and related to the service, I have provided you with.

5. How I keep and protect your personal information

I am very dedicated to keeping personal information safe. I maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards in order to protect your information. All digitally stored information is password protected and my computer has file vault encryption and firewall protection activated. All my electronic devices are Apple and I only use Authorized Apple Service Providers for repairs and technical support.

6. How long I keep your information

All information coming from general inquiries which do not lead to the use of one of my services (for example if you write to me asking for a quotation but end up not accepting it) will be permanently deleted, as soon as I have replied to your general inquiry or when you confirm that you are not interested in using my services. In case I don't receive a reply from you, the information will be deleted after a maximum of 60 days from the date on which the last communication was sent.

Information used for sending out newsletters will be kept until you inform me that you no longer wish to receive my newsletter.

All other information will be kept for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, for example to comply with my legal obligations, to protect me in the event of disputes and to enforce my agreements. The exact periods for which I keep your information will depend on the nature of the information and why I need it. Factors I consider in determining these periods include the minimum required retention period prescribed by law, the period during which a claim can be made with respect to an agreement etc.

7. What are your rights?

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to access, update, change or delete your personal information. You also have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information and you have the right to data portability. Please note that I will retain personal information in order to comply with the law, protect my rights, resolve disputes or enforce my legal terms, to the extent permitted under applicable law.

If you no longer wish to receive my newsletter, you can follow the unsubscribe instructions in my email communications. When you do so, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before your consent withdrawal.

Finally you have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. (In Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.)

9. Changes to this Privacy Notice

I may revise the content of this Privacy Notice from time to time. You can always find the most current version on my website. When I make changes I'll update the date at the top of the page and include a link to older versions. If I make substantial changes, I will notify you by posting a notice of the upcoming changes on my website before they take effect. Make sure you check back periodically to review this Privacy Notice for any changes since your last visit.
