A personal project
On January, 1st 2020 I began what is my third attempt to do a Project 365. (Technically this year it’s a 366).
The project is very simple: Make a photo every day for a year. You can choose to photograph all kinds of things or you can choose one or several themes for your project.
This year I have decided to photograph my daughter. E.V.E.R.Y. single day. And I know it may sound like a pretty easy thing to do. After all it’s just one photo. But it’s not.
Perfectionism, having to carry your heavy camera with you in order to also make photos outside the home if not every day then at least often, and of course random lack of inspiration. These are just some of the reasons why this is a really challenging project, and why I have never managed to complete it.
Having learned from previous attempts, this year I have decided to be less hard on myself and accept that there will be days, where the photo I have taken, is bad or boring. I have also decided that I won’t share the full project publicly but only some favorite shots once in a while. This will surely take off some pressure and increase my chances of actually completing the project.
We’ll see how it goes. For now here are a few of my favorites from January.
