Copenhagen, Kodak tri-x 400
I love shooting film. I have an old Canon AE-1 Program and I shoot a mix of color and black and white film on it.
As you can see from the photos the camera isn’t in a perfect state. There are little flaws and imperfections, and every time I get a roll of film back from the lab, the same thing happens: At first I get incredibly disappointed and I tell myself that I will never again spend another cent on shooting film, because let’s be honest: This is not a cheap hobby!
But the more I look at the photos, the more I start to like them despite (or maybe because of) all the little flaws. I guess I have gotten so used to being able to control everything when shooting digital. Film is much more unpredictable (at least to me) and that is one of the reasons why I love it.
Here are a few of my favorites from this summer in Copenhagen.
